Our History
Auto Mobility Concepts Ltd has been established since April 2000, the business started in St Albans, Herts
2010 see's the launch of the Herts 'Transforming Community Equipment Scheme' (TCES) and the Motability’s Power Wheelchair and Scooter Scheme.
2010 we relocated our Chesham branch to a much larger shop in Hemel Hempstead High Street.
2009 won the Motability adaptation supplier of the year, this is the first time a complex vehicle converter has won this award.
2009 we opened our 2nd shop in Watford High Street, this shop is on 2 levels providing static display area’s for products to be tested in a natural environment. The shop also has 2 fully operational stairlifts for demonstration purposes.
2008 we developed the 1st electronic tiller driving controls using Spacedrive. The AMC electronic tiller is widely used by clients all over the UK.
2007 we moved into our new HQ in Hemel Hempstead with a purpose built showroom and expanded the business into the home and living market.
2006 Auto Mobility Concepts Ltd survived the Buncefield oil depot disaster of 2005 and moved into temporary accommodation.
2005 Auto Mobility Concepts Ltd first launched the Spacedrive into the UK. The Spacedrive system is now the most recognised electronic driving controls in the UK.
2003 we relocated to bigger premises in Hemel Hempstead.
2001 we were proud to become Motability accredited.
